Yea, we still have competitive teams for the team ladder and doubles ladder. At the moment we can not change rosters cause of the roster lock due to playoff brackets but I can certainly get you started on Gamebattles once you are online and I'm on as well. Send me a PM on the forums and let me know what times you are usually on @tobby22
-
Hey ! , i joined recetly. I'm down to pop some heads competitive , if this is still going on or you need more players . tell me what to doo

That has been noticed, yes. Hopefully recruiting more and representing that we have competitive teams and some are willing to play competitive actively will bring in other competitive players. Majority of competitive matches are SnD. They have hardpoint, SnD, TDM, Control, Heist, and random gamemodes picked. The most important thing is the settings variations. There is GB (Gamebattles) variant and there is CWL (CoD World League) Variant. Both set of rules are found on Gamebattles website and to be honest I prefer GB variant. The majority of the games you will see SnD GB variant. CWL SnD matches do come up but they are less active than SnD GB variant. GB variant will not allow specialist weaponry and equipment which is the nice part about it since players are not relying on specialist weaponry/equipment as well as scorestreaks to win a game.
-
Yeah it seems like when there are enough people on to do gamebattles, nobody wants to do them or needs to practice in core before the actual battles. Also what gamemodes are in competitive? /What's the one to expect the majority of the matches fo be? There's SnD, and hardpoint but is KC/TDM or Dom in it too?
-
Not a bad idea, this would deff help in bigger games such as 3v3 - 6v6 games. Once we have a solid and active competitive team, we can start things off and start planning. At the moment, we've all been off and on where we can't get a team ladder game going yet.
-
Yeah that makes sense. All in all it breaks down into communication and the actual chemistry of the team. Alsp this might be more of an idealist thing but I think dedicated roles especially for games like SnD would be beneficial (like dedicated planter, guard, flanker, recon, etc.). It might be more of a reach but all I've seen of competitive FPS games comes from VGHS lol.
-
That is somewhat true, you would need to visualize the team you are going up against and see how they react during the match. The first round of a game is typically a feel of the opponent. Teams typically uses the same strategy when pushing or defending going the same way every time in a map if it works for them if they are a less experienced team. More experienced teams have more strategies on pushing and defending. There are strategies that can be created for defending and pushing, this would require research of each map and what are the common ways of defending/pushing on that map. We would take those common ways and create strategies around that for defending and pushing. The basic thing that everyone should know is finding location of each member of the opposing team is best. Once their location is known, flanking is key not direct force from the front. Once the opponent loses your location, most of them start to panic and you will catch them off guard.

it'd be difficult to plan strategies against the best team especially if they're always playing together using teamwork and whatnot so in a sense their level of teamwork and snyc would be a goal since i don't think it will be as easy as creating strats against them
-
Yeah it seems like it's more strategy and planning than anything else. And even if you went up against the highest ranked team, it gave you a sense of what to expect and maybe even some possible strategies and whatnot.
-
Well from the looks of our first competitive match with the top ranking team in the ladder (of course we faced the #1 team for our first game ) we will need to practice. We didn't do terrible, but we definitely need synchronization with each other and more planning involved for each map. I'm hoping to get serious with competitive, seems like others will want to as well. I think everyone should have a chance to join, even if we need someone else to run a second team. All competitive games are softcore games (Core) and not hardcore. That being said, anyone trying to get into competitive gamebattles should start playing softcore more and drop hardcore.
-
Same here man. I'm less reliable in terms of contributing to the score and more of a wildcard in that my K/D can go from 2.0+ one match to 0.17 the next. But usually, I'm decent about always pushing the objective. I'm definitely more of an alternate/B-team kinda dude.
-
id be down but i honestly dont think im good enough to do gamebattles lol

Trying to collect some information on who would be interested in a competitive team for Black Ops 4. If we have enough players, then we could start doing things like Game Battles.

The poll has been closed. We will be hosting "Game Nights" on Sundays every weekend. First game mode we will start with is "Knife and Hatchet ONLY". We will most likely change game modes after playing "Knife and Hatchet ONLY" once everyone gets bored of it. This Sunday, November 25th, will be the first Game Night for the Call of Duty Division!

untilOriginal Post: To participate in the friendly competitive fun 1. Take a screenshot of current stats of your Black Ops 4 profile at 6PM EST (START OF EVENT) 2. Take a screenshot of stats of your Black Ops 4 profile at 12AM EST (END OF EVENT) 3. There will be different categories to be the "winner" of which will be: - Most Wins - Most Kills - Most Score Earned - Most Headshots 4. If a player is in-game playing a match at 6PM and does not finish till lets say 6:15PM, the player will need to take a screenshot at 6:15PM of his/her stats and that will be the screenshot for the START of the event. 5. If a player is in-game playing a match at 12AM and does not finish till lets say 12:15AM, the player will need to take a screenshot at 12:15AM of his/her stats and that will be the screenshot for the END of the event. This means when 6PM EST rolls around, the stats for wins, kills, score, and headshots from 6PM till 12AM will be calculated to see how much progress was made for each category for each player. Screenshots stated above at the correct times listed are required to be counted as a participant of this event, it is the proof determining the "winners". You can search your stats here at this website: https://cod.tracker.gg/ To search for your stats 1. Select the platform (PC_Windows_Symbol) 2. Type your Battle.Net ID into the search box EXAMPLE: mfranca915#1818 3. You will be directed to your Black Ops 4 profile 4. Select "View Detailed Career Stats" 5. Take a screenshot of this page by pressing "PRINT SCREEN" button and then paste it into a program such as Paint or similar. 6. Make sure the following stats are shown in your screenshots: Total Wins, Total Kills, Total Score, and Total Headshots 7. Save screenshot and submit to event forum post PLEASE LABEL YOUR SCREENSHOT MARKING IF IT IS THE START EVENT (6PM) SCREENSHOT OR END EVENT (12AM) SCREENSHOT. This will also be a nice gathering of players from the Black Ops 4 Division for the release of NUKETOWN! You do not need to participate in this event if you don't want to, you can simply join all of us for the release of Nuketown
