Teamspeak How to connect your UUID

Recommended Posts

MistDreamer

TS3 and the website are now linked together.

A few days from now all main server groups will be wiped,

You must add your UUID to the forums so you do not lose access to TS.

To get your UUID:

1. Get on Teamspeak

2. Go to Tools > Identities

3. At the bottom click on the "Go Advanced" option

4. Copy your Unique ID then click HERE and Add UUID (you are now synced).

If your wondering why this is happening.

Well TS and the Website have different user databases and with this change they sync up and allow for us staff to be able to keep your years of service and medals more accurate across both platforms.

Not to mention if you lose your TS information like some of you do sometimes from formats or reinstall or whatever the case you can just add your new UUID and get all your permission back with out needed to contact or wait on staff to help you out.

Hi,

It keeps saying invalid UUID. Checked it for spaces etc.

What could I do wrong?

@Terror_Billy_90 try to delete your other identities if you have multiples and try again. If that doesn't work create a new one and try again.

Thx for the reply.

Ok, so I removed all the identities. Pushed the create button. Used copy paste and still it didn't work. Did this a few times. I'll keep looking if I'm doing something wrong but don't seem to find anything.

Make sure there are no spaces. Is the uuid being accepted?

Terror Billy fixed his problem by uninstalling and reinstalling teamspeak.

Try increasing the security level of the UUID in teamspeak, then remake your identity on the website.

Has anyone figured out the "Invalid UUID" problem?  I have tried all of the following:
  • Generating a new identity
  • Making security stronger up to Level 15
  • I even uninstall and re-installed TS3 as one person in the thread mentions

But nothing seems to work. :-(

@MajorBorg normally the problem is you have a space at the end or start of the uuid. After you paste it I would check that.

Welp, 3 months and some change down the line apparently finally upgrading to windows 10 solved the invalid UUID issue for me.  No idea what difference that made, but it finally worked sooo.......yay windows magic?

Make sure no spaces after the unique id

Try to delete your other identities.

Try to delete all your identities and create a new one

If the doesn't work reinstall teamspeak.
