Best Headphones?

I'm looking for a good set of headphones under a hundred bucks, doesn't need a mic, but you're hard pressed to find good headphones without them. Would really like analog 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound, but if it's a really good virtual set, that's fine.

IMG_4999.JPG.ceec9080d0bdc2aab05556efd99a276b.JPGYou won’t find much under that price range that don’t distort or offer decent quality. You are gonna want a budget of $200 and you can find some nice actual headphones. Look for sennheiser hd598, hd650 or beyer dynamics dt-990 pro. I stepped up from turtle beach headsets to my first real headphones a year ago. I still have them with a modmic setup, they were beyer dynamics dt-990 pro 250ohm. They were ok with direct line out but needed more so I paired them with a sound blaster x5 external sound card. Surround audio was great and it powered the cans nicely.

Since then I’ve stepped up to a creative x7 dac/amp and sennheiser hd800 cans. Totaling about $1300 but worth every penny.

Spend the little extra money and get cloud revolvers, I have both and the revolvers are worth it.

After much research for my price range, I narrowed down my choices to the Revolvers or these. https://www.amazon.com/Creative-BlasterX-Tournament-Surround-Headset/dp/B01MQMOXU1/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&qid=1488506879&sr=8-1-spell&keywords=Soundblaster+h7+Tournament+Edition&linkCode=sl1&tag=jims03-20&linkId=4b231ee8f8d86350167e919771e2d8e8

One of the reviewers I was watching said that the Creative H7s were a bit better, but the issue I have is, with USB headphones, seems like it'll bypass using my sound card, no? Both of these headphones are affordable enough, and they have detachable mics which is a must for me, because I'd never use em, and hate when they're in the way.

Also, how is the Revovlers for playing music, and did you pay the extra 30 for the USB dongle?

As I dont really know 100% but I dont believe that usb headphones can be used with a soundcard as its recognized as its own sound device. I have the headset with the 3,5mm plug ins not USB.

I might be too late to join the conversation, but another set I would recommend would be the Logitech g933/g633.  The g933 is the wireless version of the g633.  I have the g933 and they sound great.  The surround is digital but it sounds fantastic.  Hellvor uses the corded version and has good things to say about his set as well.
