Fifteen people suspected of developing and selling hacking programs affecting PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds have been arrested and fined a combined total of $5.1m, developer Bluehole has announced.

Technically Hacking/Cheating in a game breaks a TOS which interferes with the copyright; copyright infringement can include jail time. 

It seems minor on the base level but if companys pursue it then there are avenues they can take.
